What is Differentiated Instruction?
Adjusting the curriculum, teaching strategies, and classroom environment to better meet the needs of all students
How do I differentiate?
Differentiate the Content: What the students need to learn. While all students should master the same core content, its complexity can be adapted to individual students. For example, teachers can provide highlighted texts to students who struggle with reading.
Differentiate the Process: Activities in which students engage in order to master the content.
Differentiate the Product: The culminating activities that ask students to apply and extend the concepts they have learned.
Differentitate the Learning Environment: The way the classroom looks and feels.
